Dear FutureMe,
On this day- May 30th 2018, you happened to run into this website through some self-help blog about self-compassion. When you read the public letters sent across this forum, it surprised you- what people expected of themselves in 5, 10 and 15 years into their future. They wanted to know how far how they'd gotten, how much they'd achieved. Some letters were sweet and kind. They just were happy that they were in the future. There'll always be ways to judge yourself for not achieving enough, or doing enough. In moments such as these, its only the size of the infinite cosmos is what i can remind you of, and how insignificant yet beautiful this chance of a life is. Just remember, you didn't pursue the dreams you dreamed of, when you were 10. So whatever you thought you should have when you're in twenties will be insignificant too. Remeber khalil gibran's saying. There are fruits;and then there are roots. Everyone is not meant for the same purpose. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, whoever you are with- I Am Proud of you, for making so far, Kid! I hope you are at peace with yourself, and with your past. I hope you are happy, and prosperous. I hope you are kind!
Life is not arriving at a destination. The experience, the journey itself is the point of it. Happy 30th!
