Dear FutureMe,
Wow. What to say? How are you? Who are you? Are you different to me now? What are you doing with your life? Are you successful? What's your favourite band at the moment? Are you in a relationship? What colour is your hair? What's the country like now? Where are you living? So many questions.
I don't know what I'm meant to include in this. It's not like you can reply to me. I don't know what you're like, so I can't even try to offer advice. Have you made any stupid mistakes in your life you wish you could redo? Have you made any stupid mistakes I could redo? Christ, I wish you could reply. Give me advice, give me warning.
I hope you're happy. Regardless of the answers to any of these questions, I hope you're happy wherever you are, whoever you're with, whoever you are. I hope you're taking care of yourself. I hope you've still got that creative streak of imagination. I hope you're keeping on... keeping on, or whatever. I hope you worked hard, and achieved something, and didn't let your life go to waste. I hope you feel beautiful, genuinely feel beautiful, not like I do. I hope you're a good person. I hope you know good people. I hope you have a nice place, in a nice city. I hope you've seen a bit more of the world. I hope you're enjoying your life. I hope you're all that you can be; be that the best, the worst, or a combination of the two.
Happy Birthday. I hope you're doing well.
All the best,
me - 16 years, 11 months and 19 days.
P.S - Listen to a bit of Blur today. They're my favourite band at the moment. Remember it. Remember me.
