Dear Future Me,
If you are reading this letter.. you made it! I hope that you remembered what you learned. I hope that your struggles were worth the pain. That you graduated and finally realized you dreams. I hope our kids are doing just fine. I hope you finally make time for yourself. I also wanted to remind you of some stuff in case you forgot. It's ok to feel overwhelmed. it's ok to take time for yourself without feeling guilty of doing so. Don't let him get in your head, you will live your dreams and no you're not way too old to do so. Stop beating yourself up for the mistakes the kids make, they need to learn and face their own consequences. You played your part by teaching them right and wrong and raising them right in a wrong society. You need to know that you gave it your all and that was more than enough. There will come a day when they will look back and appreciate your hard work and support. Have you thought about yourself lately? have you taken a day off? No! it's not selfish! Just go on and do it today, not next week like you always say. Do you still have that frame that we used to live by? "Live, Laugh, Love" remember it was our motto. lastly, I want to say.. stop wondering about the what if's that keep you up at night. Stop thinking of the past and just keep your self focused on the future. The past is what kills us, I just want you to be happy. we have been through so much, and I am tired of crying and thinking it i am not enough. Remember to smile and how beautiful you are. most of all know I love you and how strong you are.
there is so much I want to say but I will just keep it short. Just remember one day to write another one for future you.
with much love..
Heather
