Dear FutureMe,
In the past year, you have seen and done so much. You have excelled in your new position and learned new aspects of your career. You have helped so many. While helping others, you have also made time to focus on working to fight your depression.
I know life has been hard. I know you have seen ugly things. I know that people have treated you unfairly. But remember that you have also met wonderful people who truly care about you. You have met people that are kind and incredible. Even while you were struggling in silence, you were never alone.
I know you have been through dark times. I know that you have often felt worthless. I am sorry that I ever doubted how amazing you are. I hope that you have learned to love yourself deeply. If you don't feel that you have, please keep trying. And continue to try each day. Each day is a new opportunity to learn and appreciate how benevolent you are.
Depression is a life long illness, but you are resilient. You will continue to flourish, like the daisy that you are.
