A letter from December 31st, 2019

Dear 26 year old FutureMe, The state of our life is not-so-great on Dec 31st 2019. In a dead-end job and what feels like a one-sided relationship-of-sorts. Do not try to resuscitate the relationship if it’s not going anywhere!!! Let him go and live your life. Professionally, I hope you’re working for an INGO that’s positively changing the world and you love what you do. If not, it’s not the end of the world and I hope you apply for positions that match your profile and don’t hesitate because of no responses. Ideally you’ve moved to a different country and are bringing in the New Year on a beach somewhere in the Caribbean, Pacific or South America. The also hope you’ve improved in your faith. Yes I understand it’s hard because church in Nigeria soured you but I hope you’re in a community that you get to grow in and accepts you and you have found a solid group of friends. I hope your 2020 is full of love, change, laughs, adventure and new experiences. xx Your 25 year old self
