A letter from January 12th, 2020

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, It's the middle of January. Another year over and started. Another Christmas with family to remind you how life is just passing you by. You're motivated to change, but you don't know what big steps to take. Every year you get motivated to change, but don't stick with it. This year will be different. This year MUST be different. Last January, you were maybe a month from being at an ideal weight, but then the depression of not working towards a “good”/”worthy” career by being in school and certainty of never finding love hit very hard. When combined with SAD, this all hit like a truck and you stopped caring about your weight and ate like a pig. 50 FUCKING POUNDS. WHAT THE FUCK. Having to pay at least half of a reasonable rent will be a big help to not spending money on junk food, so you need to finally move out. Weight and exercise are the main things, but there NEEDS to be more. Meditate at least five times a week. Read part of a physical book just as much. Budget better and spend less on wants. Actually work on something as simple as drawing instead of endlessly watching Youtube. DO THINGS RIGHT AWAY INSTEAD OF WEEKS LATER. MAKE 2020 COUNT.
