Dear FutureMe,
Right now you're a week into being back in Oregon. You were just in Ireland, studying abroad. Since being back you've managed to drop acid and sleep with your ex. You've had a pretty great time.
But coronavirus is also happening. You're scared about the future because you know you're about to enter into real adulthood in a year. We're heading into a recession and graduating 100k in debt is not going to be fun. Well, here you are. I hope you forgot about this letter and it brings you some joy in the midst of thesis (hopefully not stressing you out more)!
Here are my hopes for you: I hope you're in the therapy. Because I'm realizing more and more how much we need it. I hope the implant is doing better. I hope you rely on Adderall less (you took some today to write your soc/his paper). I hope your hair is POPPIN and longer than it is right now. I hope you've kept your friends close like J and E. I hope your skin is glowing and that you're drinking water. Maybe even exercising???
Now here are some things that I know: You're being too hard on yourself right now. You are CRUSHING thesis. You are about to graduate and you should be fucking proud. FIRST GEN!!! You'll find a job eventually. You are stronger than ever. You are beautiful, smart, witty, amazing, and soulful. You got this. You're almost there.
Remember that we're always gonna have us. And get excited! Things are about to begin :) Whatever "things" may be! I love you.
