Dear FutureMe,
COVID-19!
Ugh, crazy times the last few weeks have been and I'm sure they will be crazy for weeks to come and likely months.
Life is overwhelming right now as the head of the household.
It's depressing going to the store and trying to find needed food for the family. Thankfully, we haven't gone hungry and I always manage to find what we need but fuck if it's not depressing to see the shelves bare.
Working from home and trying to care for an almost 2 year old is tiresome but I'm managing. Lu is loving this time with both of us at home more and I'm trying to remind myself that the learning can wait because it's love that we all need in abundance right now.
I hope that I get to read this message a year from now. I hope that I survive and those I love and know do as well. I know that the numbers are against us all making it through this but I won't stop praying for that to be the outcome.
Right now, I'm just grateful that we get to do this all in a nice home, with amenities, food, and a source of income still. The rest of it is just noise that I try to tune out. Life could be better but it most definitely can be worse. Hope to see you in a year FutureMe!
