Dear FutureMe,
Currently, the world is going through an epidemic and if I’m being so honest, everything’s been falling apart because of the Coronavirus. It’s actually really scary how much control something unknown and foreign can have on the human race. The date “to go back” to school just got pushed back from March 30th to April 10th and it almost seems like more and more bad news is everywhere.
Being in quarantine is something that others describe as inhumane and unnatural, except I, on the other hand, have insanely strict parents, so this kind of just feels like summer for me. I’ve actually been really impressed with how well I’ve taken charge over my life and made time for SAT practice, drivers ed, homework assignments, working out, enjoying myself and family time. I can definitely say that I do miss my three closest friends, but I’m always texting them to help myself adjust to the distance. My feelings for this- simple.. I just want it to all be over, I want everyone to heal and for things to go back to normal because so many people and businesses have suffered greatly from this and could use some good news right about now. Finally, I’ve maintained a positive attitude through working out, painting, getting adequate amounts of sleep and eating well.
Some hopes I have for the future would be for everyone to recover quickly that way we can all go back to normal. I hope nurses and doctors get a lot of praise and reward for all the risk they put out every day once everything is done. In five years, I want to be finishing up my undergraduate at a University and hopefully moving forward to a masters degree. I can achieve this by continuing all of SAT practicing I’ve been doing and getting a score that can get me into a good school.
Something I’d like my future self to know or understand is that regardless of how good life may be seem to be getting, always keep sight of what matter. Don’t take anyone or thing for granted and understand the value behind each and every thing you come in contact with.
