A letter from April 8th, 2020

Dear Future Torie, Hopefully you're doing well. I hope you're following your heart in everything you do. I hope you've been able to give yourself the joy of forgiving those who have wronged you, and forgive yourself for those you yourself have wronged. Don't hold grudges, they take their toll on you. Be kind to people, but don't try too hard to please everyone. It can't be done. Don't allow people to belittle you. You are a force to be reckoned with. You are capable of doing anything you set your mind to. I hope you believe that by now. Always do your best and give everything your all. Whether it's in your workplace, your education, your home, or your relationships, always do your best. Your efforts will reward you in the long run. I hope you have a better relationship with mom now. As stubborn and hard headed as she is, she loves you and only wants the best for you. Sometimes her methods might be a little questionable, but she has good intentions. Remember that. Don't be such an asshole. I hope you're allowing someone to love you. I know that's hard for you considering the things you've been through. You deserve to be loved by someone who accepts you for all that you are. The good, and the bad. Let your walls down. Remember who your friends are. Keep them close. You'll need them one day. Get over your damn daddy issues. They only hold you back and bring you down. It's not that he didn't want you, he just wasn't ready to be a dad. It's for the best. Brandon does some sketchy shit, but he's a good man and he loves you. Hold onto that. If it wasn't for Brandon Ferguson, you'd have a hell of a lot less. Try to make the best of everything. Stop being so negative all the time and try to look on the bright side. Find the silver lining. Something good can come out of any shitty situation. Don't regret anything. Know your worth. Never let anyone tell you that you are not worthy. They are so wrong. Appreciate and love yourself for the remarkable person that you are. You are beautiful. You are kind. You are sexy. You are capable. Believe that. I really hope you're happy. I love you.
