A letter from April 11th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Hey pal, what's up? How's life? I would hope going a little better than it is right now here in April 2020. During the time I am writing this letter, - the state of Indiana (and pretty much the whole country) is in a shelter-in-place. Anything non-essential is closed. "Essential" places like restaurants can only be drive-thru. Places like Walmart and Kroger are still open but have tape all over the floors and signage to remind of the 6' feet social distancing rule. - In-person college got canceled for the rest of the academic year. I had to move out of my dorm room near the end of March. Anyone that could leave had to leave. All my classes are online now. This honestly is an advantage in some ways, but I miss being at school. I loved hanging out with my friends all the time, and just all the stuff I did to stay involved and busy. - Speaking of friends, we can't hangout with people because of the stay at home order. I have not seen them other than on FaceTime or Zoom since I moved out of my dorm room in late March. I miss them. - Life is just wild. COVID-19 has taken the world by storm. It has literally shut most of the world down. It's insane. My questions for reflection... - How did your 19th birthday go? It was in five days from when I wrote this letter. We will still be in lock-down. The plan was to meet up with my friends in a parking lot and just hangout with them. We are going to stay in our own cars and socially distance-ly chill for a bit. I hope it's okay. - How is living with Tabitha? You did not mind living with Iv freshman year but now you are having to live with someone you barely now. How is it? I hope not to bad. How'd you even end up paying for college? haha that's definitely a worry while writing this letter. - Where are you staying next year? Hopefully with the girls in a house. That sounds so fun and I am excited. I kinda wish I did it for sophomore year but it is what it is. - How did the world come back from COVID-19? Like this worldwide pandemic really is something man. I wanna be able to hangout with my friends lol and perhaps some boys ;) I wrote this letter because I was bored. If I remember correctly, I should have one like this coming soon from last year. I'm not sure what will be in it but I am excited to read it. I will probably write another one when I receive that next one. I try to send one every time I get one.
