Dear FutureMe,
I am so proud of you, regardless of where you are at now. I am proud of you for choosing to go to university to better yourself. Even though your father discouraged this idea you still chose to go down this path and this shows your determination. I am proud of you for pushing through each hard time throughout your degree, and still obtaining the grades you did. You put in time, effort and above all hard work to get to where you are at. As I write this, I just received two of my final grades for Winter 2020 semester: and both are A+'s. The other 3 are also A+'s it just is not set in stone yet as you have just a few more final assignments. Even with family, friend, and relationship issues you still managed to obtain excellent grades, grades you were not so sure you could receive when you were in high school. You always thought you were dumb, but in reality that is not the truth. You had family issues, mental heath problems and it was not always easy to get out of bed every morning. You had not yet found your passion which is Psychology but I am so gad you finally have. I think everything happened the way it was supposed to for things to turn out the way they have. Your boyfriend at the time of the 2020 semester was a complete idiot and even cheated on you yet here you are. You are the smartest, most driven girl I know. When you put your mind to something, you always achieve your goals. Not everyone can say this about themselves so be proud of yourself and take some time to reflect on the amazing things you have achieved. You have always wanted to be a doctor, and even if at this time you didn't get accepted; it is okay. Good things come with time and like I said earlier; if you put your mind to something you ALWAYS achieve it. Keep trying, and do not stop until your satisfied with where you are at. If you did get accepted; congratulations for making it into Dalhousie Med. You are achieving your biggest dreams. If not; follow your original plan and achieve your masters then apply again. Quitting has never got anyone anywhere. I love you and keep putting yourself first. You are going to change the world in one way or another and no one can take that away from you. Keep going.
