A letter from April 17th, 2020

Peaceful right?

NOT GOING BACK THROUGH THIS AND EDITING SO THE GRAMMAR MAY BE TRASH. WANT TO FORGET IT AFTER I SEND IT SO I WONT READ IT AGAIN. Dear FutureMe, So you're 16 now. That's insane. Right now as I'm writing this, it's 11:19 PM on April 17th, 2020. Things are... strange as of now. Coronavirus has created an absolute shitstorm and you/I (how should I refer to us? I'll just say I) am home from school right now. I am currently procrastinating on my Chemistry homework, which is due in exactly 40 minutes. But nah, I'm gonna write you this letter instead of that bullshit because I think you'll enjoy having this, it's a good way to reflect, and I just think it'll be really interesting. By the way, you (ugh, sometimes you feels better, sometimes I feels better, still not sure which to use so I'm just gonna rotate between the 2) have a tendency not to forget shit when you want to and vice versa. Need I remind you of CTY? Not gonna specify in case anyone else is reading this letter but you know exactly what I'm talking about. So, without further ado, let's go through some things! 1) Coronavirus. Okay, we gotta start with this. Is this shit still going on in a year? I can't imagine it is, but goddamn this thing is crazy right now. I'm currently waking up at 6:30am to go on bike rides every day with Dad. If we go any later, he's worried we can't social distance, but I want to make sure to exercise. I haven't been getting 8 hours of sleep, but I've been doing a siesta sleep with a 1 hour nap in the afternoon. Waking up so early for a bike ride is really hard but I'm also enjoying it. I've also been very productive (a bit less so today, but today's Friday, right after upload days where at least as of now you go a bit easier on yourself). So I'm curious if this sting is still affecting you. You're almost definitely in school now, but are people still thinking about corona? And if you want to reminisce on what it's like, online school is so fucked up, teachers don't know what they're doing, but it's pretty easy. You go driving with Isaac every few days just for fun for an hour or two, and driving with Dad to practice. You spend a lot of time working on your YT channel, reading, and just political shit in general. Do you still love politics this much and want to make a career out of it? 2) YouTube! Aight, this has to come up next. As of now you just finished up your 13th video on Scandinavian Socialism. I really hope you're still doing your YouTube channel bro. If not start the fuck back up. You seriously have a chance to change the world with this thing and have an opportunity like you never have before. I'm so curious where you're at in a year with this; it's hard to imagine myself continuing this project for another year (I often stop after a few months, want to fight back against this). But on the other hand if I do stop, what am I gonna do with all my equipment and stuff? I've invested so much into this project and my name is on the web outside of YouTube now, I don't think there's any turning back. Oh, and if you're using school as an excuse to stop, fuck you. We both know that's bullshit. So how successful has your channel been? You're probably not famous, but I'm not going to say that there's no chance you are. I really think you've got something unique going here dude, and if you continued I wonder where you're at. As of now SocialBlade says that you'll have 25,877 subscribers and 609,310 views. Do you have more or less? Have any of your videos actually gone viral? Do you still use Isaac's camera or did you upgrade/move to the iPhone now that he's in college? Is your video format the same? I have so many questions my guy, but you can't really answer them for me. So instead I'll just remind you that I hope you're still doing this thing and you're doing well. 3) Isaac So Isaac's in college now. Or is he? Maybe not because corona, but there's no way this thing is still continuing for a year. He's at USC, right? What's it like? I mean, right now Isaac is such an important, major part of your life. He's your brother. Is he more of a distant adult figure now? Jesus, that's gonna be crazy. Kid can be a dick sometimes but I love him and it's gonna be really weird to not have him around. 4) POTUS So is Donald Trump still President, and if so, how do you feel about him? I'm not really a fan of the guy as of now but I'd prefer him to Hillary in 2016 or Biden in 2020. If Biden is the President, I'm so curious what dumb shit he's done. And if Trump is the President, I'm... so curious what dumb shit he's done. Politics is still crazy I'm guessing. Although right now nobody really cares about the election cause coronavirus. 5) School Fuck school. Well, I mean you know that I hate school. Do you still hate it? Did you find a way to get out of public school? Just like MLK, I have a dream. I dream that one day I will live in a nation where my... okay, just kidding. I dream that your YouTube channel has grown so much that you now have to be homeschooled and are taking care of your own education, or can pay for private school through your channel earnings. I know it's unlikely but it'd be awesome. If you're still stuck in that hellhole... oof. I'm so glad to be out of there. At least you have some decent classes though - hopefully you got the good APES teacher and Euro isn't too bad. And good luck with Spanish, lol. Something tells me you never actually studied for that class. Okay I just went and finished my Chem homework, it is officially 4/18. 6) Driving Holy shit, you can drive now. Driving is kinda terrifying for me rn. I almost got hit by a guy who tried to get in front of me when his lane was ending, like wtf. Hopefully I'm better by the time you read this. That's all for now, main thing is keep reading, doing the YT channel, exercising, being productive, etc! And I hope you're famous, though you're probably not lol Sam
