Dear FutureMe,
Hey...what is today? Oh, it's your Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
You are now 42 years old! 42....how the hell did that happen!? You are not a kid anymore. You are not a high schooler, a college student or even a young adult any longer. You are now officially a middle aged adult. Pretty crazy how fast life has gone, huh?
Anyway, I hope you take time to celebrate your special day today. This is the day you were introduced to the world, and the world was introduced to you. You are so lucky to have been born into this beautiful, wonderful, crazy, & chaotic world...you don't even realize how fortunate you are. Just to be alive and be a living being is truly a miracle....please realize that.
I hope life is going well for you. I hope you are living life to the fullest, setting and realizing your goals, improving yourself (while at the same time accepting yourself as is), loving yourself, and choosing to be happy throughout this crazy journey we call life.
Please make sure you are taking care of yourself. Loving yourself, accepting yourself, getting out and socializing, dating, exploring the city, being in nature, exercising, playing guitar, and doing all of the things that bring true joy to your life. Life is so short...it's a fleeting moment really....like God blinking his eyes....please make sure you are enjoying it and living it to the fullest. If you haven't been, or you're dissatified with where you are at in life, well then....NOW is the time to change! Not tomorrow, or next week, or next year....right goddamn now! Do it before it's too late (you are 42 now- and tomorrow is not gauranteed).
It's time to stop living in the past, stop worrying about the future, and simply live for today. Live each day as if it were your last....as one day, it most certainly will be.
So go chase your dreams! Ask out that girl you've been afraid to approach! Start your own business! Do whatever you've been too afraid to do.....make the only regret you have when you're on your deathbed, that you didn't start living this way sooner.
