A letter from the past

Dear FutureMe, I hope these 10 years passing find you well and stable, generally alive. I know I can't handle life continuing this way, and if i had known 10 years ago that i was facing a continuing onslaught of mental health problems which have entombed me in my living hell, i don't think i could have gone on. I hope my dog continues to be the best therapy I ever had and she is fluffy and well. I don't care if you're successful or just floating around as ever, only that this letter finds you well and not haunted by demons. I hope you haven't gone back to thinking this is intelligence gone to waste, a life gone to waste. There is no point in taking it more than a day at a time and that's one really big cliff edge to fall off. I hope you have a wonderful dog to look after if she is no longer around, to give your life meaning like she makes me complete. I really hope this finds you better. x
