Dear FutureMe,
Greetings from the year 2011! I was just reading Twilight and The Da Vinci Code (still haven't got an e-reader!) while listening to Lady Gaga and The Black Eyed Peas, and watching Mad Men, House MD, Modern Family, and President Obama on my 37-inch LCD television. I enjoyed watching Avatar 1 and the last Harry Potter movie in 3-D (much better than waiting for them to come out on Blu-Ray!) but I think $15 is a lot to pay for a movie ticket. Also $4 is a lot for a gallon of gasoline, am I right?
Still, though, that new Nintendo 3DS looks pretty cool, and I like the Wii better than the XBOX 360 or PlayStation 3. I can't play that many games on my computer, though, since I only have 4GB of RAM. I wanted to back up my 50GB of photos and videos online, but I only have regular DSL at home and the connection speed is like 1Mbps. I could put them onto a flash drive, but a 64GB flash drive is hard to find and they cost like $100. I guess that's the downside of an 8-megapixel camera! Fortunately I can take photos with my 4G Android phone - it's got a 1GHz processor and a 320x480 display. Pretty sweet.
Also, dolphins and the United States of America still exist. Crazy, huh?
Sincerely, PastYou
Peaceful right?
