Dear FutureMe,
If you haven't married Christian by now, there better be a good reason. You've known he's your soulmate for 7 years so I hope you've saved up the money to have a beautiful wedding. You have the guy of your dreams so have the wedding of your dreams (despite Dayton's student loans).
After you walk down the aisle, have the marriage of your dreams. Have the family that you two have talked about since you were 16 and 17 and share the love you have with each other with your children.
There will be times in your marriage that Christian and you fight but so far we've dated for 14 months and 11 of those were long distant. If you to can survive the great state of Pennsylvania being between you for this long, nothing can stop you.
People said that you two couldn't do it and they were completely wrong. The song "You're Still The One" by Shania Twain describes you completely. In fact when i went to church tonight the priest said in his homily, "You know it's true love because it's not always easy". Your battle with distance was well worth it. You are meant to be.
I made a point to not even mention that you and Christian could be broken up because that won't happen. I literally feel so much love for him at this point in my life that I know deep in my heart we will always be together and that this love will only get stronger. Because you have spent this time apart from him in your teenage years, I hope this teaches you to treasure each second you spend together. When you're upset with him, I hope you read this and understand that no arguement is worth winning if it hinders your relationship with your precious husband.
Continue to tell him that he's handsome because with hia looks, he can never hear it enough. Thank him for the extra sweet things he does for you and the ordinary things as well. You can never give him too many kisses and he might even like the cheek kisses still. When he's away on business, have him Skype you once in a while like he did in the good old days. Scratch his back for him while you watch TV and make him sniff your hair like a puppy. Just don't get too serious for each other. You're going to be that sweet, romantic, energetic couple that everyone oogles over like we did with Mr. and Mrs. Mulherin at Dairy Queen.
Grow and evolve over the next few years. Keep yourself morally sound and always work hard to improve your life. My best wishes to Christian and you.
Love,
Heather
