A letter from December 20th, 2012

Dear me+5years Surely by now you think of me as naive. But take five minutes to think of what I have to say. Set a timer and think - you owe me that much. I want to remind you that if you have children, I (past you) would rather have them die than live a life without risk. Be their example. Encourage them when they take the initiative. Comfort them when they fail. Guide them towards understanding their mistakes. If they don't get hurt, you're doing it wrong. If you don't have kids, well I hope you're satisfied with that. On an unrelated note, remember Sophie? wonder how that turned out.
