Dear FutureMe,
As of now you have no one of special interest. everything fails to keep your attention for a while, but you are very full of hope. and inspired even if it is ever fleeting. you work at a place you hate to stay close to the people you love. you are a half a year from graduating, and you make it if you just keep pushing. The reason past me is writing is to make sure you know that despite whatever challenges you face, you have to realize that it is up to you to decide if you are living life exactly the way you wanted to, or if you have conformed to society. The main focus you have always maintained is to work towards being happy. You have never needed a lot of money, and a lot of friends, but as long as you were safe and surrounded by the people you loved you were happy. whatever you are going through right at this moment of receiving this email, just remember that goal you set while you were in college. You just want to be happy. happy at work, happy at home, happy with friends and family, and I want to make sure you don't lose sight of that. I want you to know that I wasn't happy when i sent this email. I am going through the things i have struggled with most of my life, and I really hope it gets better. Im writing this because this is a desperate attempt to remind myself that we have a goal. that struggling now is all for our happy future. you have never wanted a ton of money, or too many friends to count. remember where you came from and how you got there. If were not quite happy yet then just remember that we will get there. don't give up. happiness is on the horizon
