Dear FutureMe,
I wrote two other letters already, and I don't know how many I will send in the future, but I wanted to send this to you, to remind you to think about your life. I am 18 years old right now, and tomorrow, you are turning 30. I hope you are happy with where you are in life right now.
Right now, I want to be a clinical psychologist. I want to get my undergrad degree from Mount Holyoke in Psychology and Romance Languages with a minor in sociology, anthropology, or German. I want to study abroad in Spain and Italy, and take a year off before going to Grad School to travel Europe. I want to be a published novelist. I want to get married.
I hope you're married, have a husband or wife who you love. Most of all, I just want you - me - to be happy. Can you do that for me? If you don't like the direction your life is going in, change it. Please.
And do me a favor, and tell Mom, Dad, and Sam that you love them. Because you do.
