Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Happy Birthday! I don't know if you will remember this or be expecting this letter but I hope not. Today is a really good day. I got called an old soul. This past week I have been making a lot of strides toward maturing and becoming the person that I want to be. That person may change by the time you read this, or maybe you have reached or exceeded where you want to be. The only advice I have to you is to not get overwhelmed. Find the simple things that you enjoy in life and live them. Even if you only have a few moments a day, just let the stress slip away, throw your head back and relish the sky. Feel the power of the earth beneath you. Hear the sounds of life going on around you, busy, fast paced, and in the midst, be still. Relax in the boundaries of your own mind, a mind full of ideas and beliefs. Do not let others opinions and words get to you. All you can do is react, or not react. Take time to find your peace so that even in a sea of stress you find the island. Nothing is too hard to get through. No test can be so bad that you don't come out stronger, having learned from the experience. In all, on your 18th Birthday, I want you to remember you. Find solace in those who you love and love you, find solitude in the quiet moments, calm in the loud, and never get discouraged. For every step you take brings you closer to the next happy moment. Live exuberantly and to your fullest potential. Be you for that is the best you can be. In case you have anything to say to yourself in a few years. https://www.futureme.org
