A letter from May 16th, 2016

Dear FutureMe, Of all the things that I wish for you right now, there's something that clearly stands out. happy. i want you to be happy, a lot of it. i hope you are where you wanted to be- i hope you are around conversations, nice people and stories. and if you aren't, if you lost yourself somewhere in the middle, i want you too look back and remember this is what you've always wanted. if you found something that suits you better, something you never knew you wanted, i want you to know that i agree, and that i appreciate. if life isn't good, please know it will be. i hope books still take your breath away, and i hope you still like nothing better than a good story. and yet again, if you dont, i am okay, and i agree. i hope the only regrets you have are the ones you brought on yourself. i hope you are free and i hope you are brave. i hope you've become the wild person i wanted you to be, and i hope you've never had to compromise on your values, anywhere. i hope you make enough money to get through this life. i hope you've found an even bigger family, more people you can call your own, people beyond biological connections, people you would be willing to give up a lot for. i hope you still believe in good things. i really really hope you are happy, and i hope you remember how to hope.
