Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, So... It's our (can I say our?) birthday. I'm 15, you're 16. I wish I could say something positive but things are going pretty rough right now. Dad went into rehab today (Yes, on our birthday) for his pain meds. Uncle arlie isn't doing that well with his brain cancer, our parents are considering divorce. It's a mess. But somehow you're making it through everything. Through the school musical, little sleep, too much homework. Even though you're in so much pain right now, you keep smiling. I think that's one of our important qualities. I didn't really think that being kind amounted to anything but seeing so many birthday wishes today made me realise that we can make a positive influence. I want you to keep this mindset as you turn 16. Don't forget this time and how it changed you. Stay true to your roots. Study hard but don't forget about your simple pleasures- Photography, chocolate, playing good flute music. And the things that make you smile- Funny pictures with friends, babies, nice messages. Stay positive and remind yourself that you. are. worth. it. like %100. Be proud of yourself. I know I am. You are made of steel- don't let anyone phaze you. But don't block anyone out. Keep a warm gooey inside- like a burnt marshmallow (Too much?) (yes.) Keep inspiring others, Past you.
