A letter from November 14th, 2016 - Post-election Trump Fears

Nov 14, 2016 Oct 14, 2020

Peaceful right?

Hi future me. I'm writing to you from 6 days after the Trump election win. It's been a rough week. Family divide. emotions and tensions high. Racism and bigotry were in full display on the streets. Protests almost daily. And as always the media fanning the flames of hate and fear. As an experiment, I am documenting my current fears for the trump presidency, so you can accurately compare with how things turn out. - Republican control of house, senate, white house. - trump filling empty seat of supreme court - possibly other justices retiring/dying, and trump filling those seats - a very very conservative/religiously minded supreme court going forward - roe v wade overturned - planned parenthood defunded - gay marriage overturned - religious rights being considered over minority rights - who knows how much damage to the environment - oil drilling in alaska and other national/state parks - end of net neutrality - end of Affordable Care Act/Obamacare - end of available/affordable health care - a terrorist attack strengthening him, like happened with Bush - war war war. - poverty poverty poverty - hate crimes - ultimately, hitlertrump and nazi america.
