Dear FutureMe,
This is a pretty cool idea!
I've had some interesting thoughts for the upcoming year, especially this idea of becoming a real outdoors woman. Four different seasons with four different activities and it will also help guide my vehicle-buying choice to be compatible.
I like the idea of simplifying my life, less things, especially those from the past that no longer serve me.
I'm sort of at an impasse with weight loss. I've been gaining slowly, actually, which should cause me great dismay but the fact that I'm staying sober is a true miracle. I will learn to work through the food addiction in the same way I did chemicals.
There's that saying : why do we repeat old habits that only make us miserable? I seem to be doing that with dating apps. I think I've finally gotten the message that they aren't really the way I want to spend my time. I have quite a bit of other things to plan and do now, so I hope the stinging disappointments will be a thing of the past.
This year I want to live authentically, from a love-based not fear-based place. I used to have a strong desire for a man, for companionship, but it feels like accepting that the universe will work as the universe pleases is the best approach. No matter what I want or push for or try to make happen, the universe moves as it pleases. I must continue to work on accepting that I'm worthy of love and changing my ways of thinking in order to build my self-confidence in thought, action and belief.
I'm excited for you. I'm curious to see where you'll be in life when you read this next New Year's Eve. I hope you are filled with love and surrounded by love and goodness and kindness. I wish you beauty and peace and the feeling of well-being that comes for a year well-lived.
Sending love from 2016
