A letter from April 5th, 2020

Dear FutureMe, Angel, today marks a year since u lost ur father, ur dear father, ur biggest supporter. u cried, u miss him, i believe u still do. i know things are still hard maybe they have gotten even harder but i believe u have made it! now we are locked down in our houses bcz of covid-19, i hope today that u are reading this, everything is back to normal. now, u are focused on ur mom, i know u still are, focused to school and future and to work hard and leave this country. i know u have worked hard all this year... i know ur father passed away, and he couldn’t even say one last word, but it’s okay Angel, u are strong, he is still ur strength. u always wanted to make him proud and remember the college season of February 2019? u made him so proud with all straight A’s. he is up there, he is still protecting you. this 2020 when the father passed away, u called some guy because u felt like it u know, A*****d, did he left like everyone else? probably yes, but i hope now, you are reading this with him... even if he left it’s okay, u really wanted him to be next to u, and he actually was when u were at ur worst even tho corona didn’t let u both hug each other. i hope all that changed fast. dear babygirl, u are strong, u are beautiful, if u still are doubting ur self, stop it. i know what u went thru, i was there since day one and if everyone leaves, i will never. with love from the broken girl u were to: the strong woman u are now. never give up. i know u will do it.
