Hi!
So it's been 3 months since you started to save money to aggressively pay off your credit cards and I think that you're doing great. Just remember why you're doing it: to get your life in order and be able to save for and afford more important stuff. Don't feel any guilt, you were unemployed for a long time and now that you're unemployed AGAIN, you spent a lot of money on tuition and start up costs for your business. While you're not feeling any guilt, it doesn't mean you can joy ride through life on minimum payments. You're here to break the family curse of having nothing in life. Your future kids will learn good habits from watching you manage a budget effectively and control money properly, that alone is enough motivation. Don't forget how your once high credit score has tanked so bad. But once you manage the debt and least pay off this one card, it will start to climb again (small victories).
If anything this is a lesson in personal finance and to not let yourself drown in financial debt again. Maybe you will develop some good habits and will learn to stop compulsively shop to fill the emotional void of whatever lol.
Anyway just wanted to let you know you're doing great and that you're only half way so keep going and celebrate this milestone (but don't buy anything) (maybe something small) (set a budget).
