Congrats on hitting 40

Dear FutureMe, 40 years you have now lived on this Earth. How is the planet holding up? Have we destroyed it further? What kind of technology have we though up of using? I've just donated some money to the planetary society for their mars mission. You should be proud. Did anything ever come of it? Have a look and see. Do we still use normal computers? I'm typing this out at work but at home you are currently using an AMD 64bit 3500+ cpu at 2.2GHz. The ram has just been upgraded to 2GB. It's running Windows XP still, although Vista just came out (Microsoft, still a company?) You have a 150GB and 2 250GB HD's. A Nvidia GeForce 7600GT GPU which powers your 17" flat screen lcd screen at 1280X1024. Currently you don't have much money. I know I'd like to get into property. How many houses do you own? 10? 1? None? Currently I think it costs on avergage £250 000 for a house in London. In South Africa the price is about R1 300 000 for a nice house. How are the prices faring? Polar bears still exist now, although they are dying out because the planet is warming and the arctic ice is melting. Are they still alive? Is the arctic frozen or not? What is the population? It's almost 7 billion right now. USA and the UK are still fighting in Iraq and Afghanisthan. What wars are on now? Which country is the richest and most powerful now? China and India are becoming big players right now. You currently wear a UK size 32 Jeans. Has that changed much? I also weigh 64Kilos now, what is your current weight? How is Beatrix? If you're still married then your 14-year anniversarry is around the corner. Do you have any kids? If so who are they, what are their names and what are they up to? If there is anything I have written here that has made you think about the past and get a bit upset I'm sorry for that. But it shows you really cared for that memory.
